Travel Nurse RN Psychiatric Job Description

Vibra Travels is a leading provider of travel nursing services, seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Psychiatric Travel Nurse.

About the Assignment:

This 13-week assignment offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing high-quality patient care in a psychiatric setting. The shift pattern is 12 hours, days, with a total of 36 hours per week.

Requirements and Qualifications:

To be considered for this Psychiatric Travel Nurse position, you must have:

  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor
  • Additional certifications may be required by Vibra Travels (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP)
  • At least 1 full year of RN experience; Diploma or Associate of Science Degree in Nursing required
  • Valid and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment
  • Previous acute care experience is strongly preferred
  • Ability to project a professional image
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement:

All employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have a valid religious or medical exemption. Unvaccinated employees on an approved exemption must submit to weekly COVID-19 testing and wear a respirator at all times while in the facility.
