Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team at Terrible Herbst. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all store technologies, including point of sales systems, desktop PCs, network equipment, and peripherals. You will work closely with store personnel, maintenance department, and operations to resolve facility-related issues that impact store technologies within a 24/7 environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade all store technologies.
  • Work with store personnel, maintenance department, and operations to resolve facility-related issues.
  • Identify, research, and resolve technical problems in conjunction with other Terrible Herbst IT personnel.
  • Work with hardware/software vendors to ensure equipment and software are running to optimal standards.
  • Support C-Store Audio/Visual equipment, including video walls, Bright Sign, cabling, installation, TV mounting, and audio systems.
  • Participate in a 1-week on-call rotation for store emergencies.
  • Comply with and enforce standard policies and procedures related to Terrible Herbst IT requirements and PCI DSS standards.
  • Pass a background check and qualify to drive a company-owned vehicle.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have at least 2 years of experience in a multi-site, convenience/petroleum store environment, with experience in point of sale and customer self-service equipment. You should also have CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications, as well as the ability to work with minimal supervision and think outside the box to approach problem-solving. Additionally, you must be able to drive long distances and have a valid driver's license.

Work Environment

The work environment is typically moderate, with occasional exposure to second-hand tobacco smoke. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with varying work areas, including confined spaces, and must be able to ascend/descend ladders and work on rooftops.
