About the Role:

As a Child Development Therapist, you will be part of a multidisciplinary treatment team providing direct behavior therapy services to individuals with autism. Your role will involve working collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement personalized treatment plans, promoting positive behavior strategies and supporting the full potential of each child.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend Cortica's comprehensive orientation program and complete the Board Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) training
  • Provide high-quality, direct implementation of behavior-analytic services in various settings, including one-on-one and group sessions
  • Work closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to develop and analyze treatment plans, ensuring effective and data-driven interventions
  • Implement strategies based on developed treatment plans, utilizing antecedent and consequence techniques to promote positive behaviors
  • Collaborate with families and colleagues to establish a supportive environment that fosters education and treatment across all settings
  • Fulfill all documentation requirements, including data collection and session notes, to ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Assist with individualized assessment procedures, including preference assessments and data collection
  • Represent Cortica as a representative of the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program, demonstrating professionalism through written and verbal communication, as well as professional dress and demeanor

Requirements and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Experience working with children, preferably those with autism
  • A bachelor's degree in a human service-related field or relevant work experience; students enrolled in undergraduate studies may also be considered
  • Current registration as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain the BCAT credential via Cortica's training program within the first 45 days
  • Availability to work some days, late afternoons, and evenings
  • A valid North Carolina Driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Proficiency in using software and systems, including electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office products
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations for safeguarding patient information

Compensation and Benefits:

Cortica offers a competitive salary range of $20.08 to $26.94, based on your relevant experience, education level, and location.
