At CalmHR Inc, we are currently looking to fill an open position for a Senior Rail Car Repair Fabricator with mechanical experience in Fostoria, Ohio.

Job Overview:
  • Perform precision MIG welding tasks with efficiency. Minimum of 2 years of experience in MIG welding required.
  • Utilize an oxygen/acetylene (propane) torch for cutting and welding. Experience in using this equipment required.
  • Demonstrate good spatial awareness to effectively interpret and work with blueprints and layouts.
  • Maintain a keen eye for detail to notice any discrepancies or potential issues in the work environment.
  • Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Inspect welds for accuracy and quality, making necessary adjustments to maintain precision.
  • Operate hand and power tools to prepare materials for welding.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools
  • Ability to constantly use bending, squatting, twisting, and walking motions throughout the entire work shift
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Ability to constantly work in an outdoor environment, exposed to all weather elements, including extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust and noisy conditions
  • Physical ability to meet the demands of the job, including heavy lifting and extensive walking.
  • Ability to occasionally climb, using various types of ladders
Requirements:
  • Good time management skills.
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Ability to pass background check and pre employment drug screen.
  • Dependable and willing to work flexible hours.
  • Strong Mechanical background
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and development in welding practice
  • Forklift operation experience preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • Health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurances offered.
  • Paid time off and holiday pay available after training period.
  • Retirement savings plan offered.
  • Schedule is Monday-Friday (occasional weekend and holiday work).
