Job Title: Aviation Maintenance Technician

Dominion Aviation is a world-class aviation company that provides exceptional general aviation services, including Fixed Base Operator (FBO) service, tailored charter solutions, aircraft management, FAA-approved aircraft maintenance, and an award-winning flight school.

We are seeking highly skilled FAA Repair Station, A&P Level 1 Maintenance Technicians to join our team. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of duties and responsibilities that may vary from day to day, depending on the tasks assigned. This may include routine maintenance work, specialized repairs, and other tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and examine aircraft components, including de-icing systems, hydraulic systems, and landing gear, for leaks, cracks, breaks, or other issues.
  • Read and utilize blueprints, maintenance manuals, ATA codes, illustrated parts catalogs, service bulletins, and other maintenance documents to troubleshoot and complete work assignments.
  • Perform routine maintenance operations, such as the replacement of power plant and aircraft components.
  • Complete all tasks in the allotted time frame and to the quality standards of our company, our customers, and the FAA.
  • Promote safety within the workplace by monitoring others and yourself to guarantee all tasks are performed within the safety manual guidelines and communicate with other mechanics and supervisors to coordinate repairs and keep apprised of safety concerns.
  • Order supplies, equipment, materials, and parts for repairs and general maintenance.
  • Keep detailed records of the inspections performed, repairs finished, maintenance procedures, and ordered parts.
  • Cooperate with the Safety Management System and be instrumental in corrective action plans and preventative measures.
  • Perform line service functions as required.
Requirements:
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate required.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of aviation experience maintaining commercial or general aviation aircraft.
  • Basic personal hand tools required.
  • Comfortable using mathematics to solve practical problems.
  • Fluent in English and basic industry computer skills required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate but varies.

  • Must be able to work in and around an aviation hangar, and have knowledge of airport rules, including ramp and aircraft movement areas.
  • The working environment includes the area of moving mechanical parts, equipment, and various chemicals and fumes.
  • Occasional to frequent periods of lifting, pushing, or pulling over 25 to 100 pounds; frequent continuous standing, reaching, and stooping.
  • Physical activity may require entering confined spaces.
