Description

Just 4 Kids Urgent Care is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant, CNA, or EMT to provide exceptional patient care by assisting the nurse in various tasks related to the day-to-day operation of the clinic. This role will involve assessing, planning, and providing care under the supervision of a medical provider, ensuring proper injury care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and plan patient care under the supervision of a medical provider.
  • Examine and treat urgent care patients to ensure proper injury care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
  • Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
  • Take patient histories and vital signs.
  • Perform selected duties as directed.
  • Screen and direct patient calls to appropriate staff.
  • Perform necessary lab tests as prescribed by provider.
  • Maintain confidentiality with all patient information (HIPAA).
Clerical Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation to staff, insurance carriers, and clinic leadership.
  • Correspondence by phone, in person, or in writing with regard to patient care, i.e. insurance carriers, physicians, non-clinic physicians.
  • Maintain patient records for clinical use, medical records use, billing use, physicians' review, etc.
  • Document patient files, records, forms, and other information.
  • Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment.
  • Complete opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure work area appears neat, well-stocked, and organized.
Other Duties
  • Maintain disposable and non-disposable supplies, i.e. wound care supplies, laundry, etc.
  • Provide general information on department policies and procedures.
  • Attend required meetings, re-certifications, and participate in committees as requested.
  • Maintain clean, professional working/treatment area.
  • Accept and assume responsibility for special projects as they arise.
  • Ensure a superior patient experience, by embracing the J4K mission and values, and treating all with compassion and respect.
Qualifications
  • Minimum High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to successfully complete new hire training program.
  • Maintain current BLS.
  • Current MA or EMT license.
