Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at Neighborhood Healthcare. As a key member of our Behavioral Health department, you will provide excellent patient-centered care and services to individuals in need.

Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnostic assessment, and medication management to patients under the direction of psychiatrists.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient clinical problems and healthcare needs.
  • Participate in the credentialing process with managed care companies by providing personal information, as needed.
  • Participate in process and program quality improvement initiatives to improve care for patients.
  • Impacts patient experience by demonstrating courteous and helpful behavior and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Completes patient medical record documentation according to company policies and procedures.
  • Shares accountability for overall patient health outcomes by working in coordination with Care Teams.
  • Operates to instill confidence in our care and in our facilities to patients, fellow employees, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in nursing or Bachelor's degree and completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program required.
  • Valid CA Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nursing license or Valid CA Physician Assistant license required.
  • For Nurse Practitioners, Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner required.
  • For Physician Assistants, Psychiatric Certified Added Qualifications (CAQ) preferred.
  • Valid DEA license required.
  • Valid BLS certification from approved American Health Association provider required upon hire.
  • Completion of advanced pharmacology course with class II controlled substances required.
Additional Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior composition, typing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Knowledgeable about and experience with providing direct care to patients.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent planning and organizational ability.
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical manner.
Salary Range

$143,438-$172,643 annually, depending on experience.
