Precision Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Precision Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Tesla's Gigafactory. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality of our products by operating and programming metrology equipment, analyzing data, and collaborating with the Quality Engineering Team on continuous improvement activities.
About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for quality assurance. As a Precision Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Enabling inspection and verification of parts and assemblies using advanced technologies such as Faro Arm, CMM, GMM, and others;
- Creating measurement programs for Statistical Process Control (SPC) or investigations using Metrology software;
- Analyzing data to provide insights for quality improvement activities;
- Coordinating calibration activities to ensure test and measurement equipment is calibrated prior to use;
- Applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) best practices;
- Collaborating with the Quality Engineering Team to solve problems and improve product quality.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience;
- Experience with at least one Metrology software (Polyworks, Calypso, PC-DMIS, or GOM, Klingelnberg GINA);
- At least 2 years' experience in a metrology or quality role operating and programming CMM, Portable CMM, and GMM;
- Previous electro-mechanical inspection background and ability to use basic hand measurement tools;
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to give presentations and prepare technical reports;
- A command of the English language.
