Medical Operations Manager for Short Stay Surgical Unit

Albany Medical Center is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Nurse Manager in our Short Stay Surgical Unit. This position involves coordinating, planning, and administrative management duties in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will also be responsible for facilitating patient access, communication, and transitions throughout their acute care stay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing leadership and guidance to nursing staff in the delivery of patient care
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement policies and procedures
  • Mentoring and coaching nursing staff to improve their clinical skills and knowledge
  • Facilitating patient access, communication, and transitions throughout their acute care stay
  • Ensuring that competent and compassionate patient care is uniformly provided to customers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
