About the Role
We are the 3rd busiest ED in the nation and Northern Virginia's only Level 1 Trauma Center. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and working together to achieve our goals. As a Pediatric Emergency Department Nurse, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse or licensed physician. You will also collaborate with materials management to ensure appropriate stock and minimize outdated stock.
Responsibilities
Administer prescribed medications, therapies, and treatments. Assist with patient education and discharge planning. Demonstrate correct stabilization and immobilization of spine. Collect patient specimens following department/facility policies and procedures. Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies to optimize delivery of patient care and treatment.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited LPN school. One year of ED LPN experience strongly preferred. Eligible for licensing in the commonwealth of Virginia as an LPN. BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
