Mainframe Assembler Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Assembler professional to join our team at Talent Ola. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Assembler programming and experience working with Mainframe infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test Assembler programs for Mainframe systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and methodologies to improve application development.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Support production environments and participate in on-call rotations as needed.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of related IT experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Expertise in Assembler, CICS, COBOL, DB2, MQ, and Mainframe infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of application development technologies, tools, and methodologies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with emerging technologies such as cloud computing and DevOps.
  • Knowledge of financial systems and credit/debit processing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
