Job Title: Pharmacy Technician for Medication Management

Job Summary:

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of medications to our patients.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Technician. Key responsibilities include:

  • Filling patient medication orders and preparing IV solutions under the supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Maintaining accurate records for controlled substances and performing routine medication area inspections.
  • Delivering medications to patient care areas and automated dispensing cabinets.
  • Providing excellent customer service and answering phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries.
  • Participating in training programs and staying up-to-date with the latest pharmacy procedures and protocols.

Requirements:

To be successful as a Pharmacy Technician at St. Luke's University Health Network, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of on-the-job training in each area of the department within the first six months of employment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

The Pharmacy Technician position requires standing and walking for up to eight hours per day, as well as frequent lifting and carrying of up to 35 pounds. The role also involves frequent stair climbing and decent while carrying up to 35 pounds. The ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively is also essential.
