About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer II - Tech Lead to join our team at The Travelers Companies, Inc. As a key member of our Data Engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and deploying complex data solutions that support our business intelligence and analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data pipelines using Cloud platforms, programming languages, and modern software engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality data products, including data governance, data security, and data quality.
  • Perform data analysis, assessment, and resolution for complex defects and incidents.
  • Test data movement, transformation code, and data components.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Eight years of related experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • Highly proficient use of tools, techniques, and manipulation, including Cloud platforms, programming languages, and modern software engineering practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver work at a steady, predictable pace.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and business partners.
