Financial Analyst, Corporate Planning

This role supports the Manager and Director of Corporate Planning in producing detailed financial analysis for executive management and delivers analytics on current and historical financial performance to support forecasts and long-range projections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Modeling: Build and maintain detailed financial models and prepare internal investment presentation materials for TG Natural Resources' leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial and operational analyses of our assets, the strategic plan, our investments, and contemplated acquisitions.
  • Reporting and Budgeting: Participate in, and support monthly reporting, budget to actual analysis, financing, hedging, and insurance.
  • Business Development: Support business development initiatives including: preparing valuations, business plans, preparing capital structure plans, analyzing tax consequences of various structures, and analyzing accounting implications of various structures.
  • Financial Dashboards: Generate financial and operational dashboards using business intelligence tools.
  • FP&A Software: Assist with the integration of financial planning & analysis (FP&A) software.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of current tasks and processes.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required in finance or related field.
  • Skills: Excellent financial modeling, presentation, oral and written communication skills. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and properly prioritizing workflows.
  • Experience: Experience with Anaplan, Hyperion, Planful, or Quorum products (Planning Space, Enersight, etc.) is preferred. Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Industry Knowledge: Prior exposure to the energy industry is preferred.
