Fleet Diesel Mechanic Lead

We are seeking an experienced Fleet Diesel Mechanic Lead to oversee the maintenance and repair of our fleet diesel equipment.
This is a critical role that requires a high level of expertise in diesel mechanics, as well as leadership skills to mentor and train other technicians.
Responsibilities- Complete preventative maintenance and standard component inspections/ repairs of fleet diesel equipment.
- Using PFG tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
- Identify root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required.
- Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
- Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition.
- Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery. Adjust and replace brakes, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma / GED or Equivalent Experience.
- 5-7 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
