Water Damage Mitigation Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Water Damage Mitigation Specialist to join our team at Swartz Restoration & Emergency Services. As a Water Damage Mitigation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in mitigating water damage while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in initial water damage assessment/inspection to determine the best course of action.
• Perform water extraction, drying, and dehumidification processes using specialized equipment to minimize damage and restore properties to their original state.
• Set up and monitor the drying equipment, including air movers, to ensure efficient and effective drying.
• Assist with scheduling & coordinating onsite activity to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Removal and disposal of damaged materials, such as carpets, drywall, and insulation, while maintaining a safe working environment.
• Safely handle and transport restoration equipment and supplies.
• Adhere to safety procedures and PPE guidelines to prevent injuries and ensure a safe work environment.
• Provide exceptional customer service and address client inquiries or concerns professionally and courteously.
• Maintain the Water Dept. vehicles and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions.

Requirements:

• A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Construction experience/working knowledge of construction.
• The ability to pass a drug screen and a criminal background check (no felonies or major misdemeanors).
• A positive attitude, professional appearance, and excellent communication skills.
• The ability to work more than 40 hours per week, as needed.
• The ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Willingsness to be on call 1 week of each month to respond to emergency calls after hours and on weekends.
