We are seeking an experienced Electrical Power Distribution Specialist to join our team at the City of College Station. As a key member of our Electric Department, you will play a critical role in maintaining and operating electrical substations, ensuring the safe and reliable distribution of power to our community.

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $29.96-$48.19 per hour, based on experience.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical transmission and distribution equipment, with at least three years of technical training or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required, as well as a valid Texas driver's license.

Apart from your technical expertise, you must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues are essential for this role.

You will also need to be available for 24-hour on-call duty and emergency response, and reside within a 40-minute emergency response time of the Utility Service Center within six months of accepting the position.

In addition to your duties, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and repairing substation equipment, including transformers, circuit switches, generators, and control equipment. You will also need to troubleshoot system failures, analyze data, and perform tests as required.
