Job Summary

This position is a Psychiatrist - Substance Use Disorder Specialist role within the Veterans Health Administration. The ideal candidate will have expertise in treating substance use disorders and providing behavioral health services to veterans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a full range of psychiatric services, including diagnosis and treatment of behavioral disorders.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for veterans with substance use disorders.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide seamless care to veterans.
  • Provide consultation to professional staff on behavioral health and substance use disorder topics.
  • Develop and maintain a high-quality inpatient behavioral health service.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States.
  • Completion of residency training in psychiatry or a related field.
  • Board certification in psychiatry or a related field is preferred.
