Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dietary Support Associate to join our team at The Grove at Valhalla Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely preparation of diet trays by assembling and checking contents to meet residents' dietary needs.
  • Label and date food properly to maintain accuracy and hygiene standards.
  • Deliver food carts to designated areas and collect empty trucks, returning them to the dish room for cleaning.
  • Operate the dish machine to wash dishes and utensils in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units as needed.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness, sweeping and mopping floors according to instructions.
  • Dispose of trash and recyclables in a responsible manner.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a dietary or healthcare setting is preferred, with LTC experience being advantageous but not required.
  • The ability to interact tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, and other stakeholders is essential.
  • Familiarity with procedures and protocols is necessary to ensure smooth operations.
  • A positive attitude, patience, and strong teamwork skills are vital to success in this role.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of approximately $35,000-$45,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career growth and development.
