Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Williams-Sonoma. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining visual standards, and driving sales through effective merchandise presentation and suggestive selling techniques.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized service to customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience and building loyalty through engagement and rapport-building.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of products, including features, benefits, and pricing, to effectively answer customer questions and make recommendations.
  • Effectively manage cash wrap operations, including processing transactions, handling returns and exchanges, and maintaining accurate ringing and pricing of merchandise.
  • Engage customers in conversations, offering additional merchandise suggestions to complement their selections and ensure they are aware of all relevant promotions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor environment, adhering to visual standards and ensuring adequate supply levels.
  • Participate in sales floor events, workshops, and product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement and drive sales.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support business objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service in a retail environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers and build strong relationships.
  • A strong knowledge of products, including features, benefits, and pricing.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Ability to lift and move medium to large items (up to 75 pounds) while utilizing proper equipment and safety techniques.
