National Grid plc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Architect to join their team. This role offers remote flexibility, with the requirement that candidates reside in one of the following states: New York (NY), New Jersey (NJ), Massachusetts (MA), Connecticut (CT), Vermont (VT), Rhode Island (RI), Maine (ME), or New Hampshire (NH).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive software development strategies to ensure high-quality products and services within data engineering, business analytics, and data strategies.
  • Collaborate with architects to design and develop software solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to best practices and architectural principles.
  • Mentor junior team members in software development best practices and provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to proactively identify and resolve issues early in the development cycle.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize software development efficiency and effectiveness.
Salary Information

This position has an estimated salary range of $156k - $184k per year in New England, $167k - $197k per year in Downstate NY, and $139k - $164k per year in Upstate NY.

About the Role

The Lead Software Architect will be responsible for designing and developing robust software solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to best practices and architectural principles. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to proactively identify and resolve issues early in the development cycle.
