Mortgage Loan Originator I Job Description

We're seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Loan Originator I to join our team at Simmons Bank. As a Mortgage Loan Originator I, you will be responsible for cultivating mortgage loans and other business opportunities for the bank through relationship development with realtors, builders, title companies, and other community partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Originate mortgage loan applications and negotiate terms and rates of the loans
  • Obtain customers' vital information and provide expert advice relative to product options
  • Provide all required disclosures and notices to customers in compliance with all mortgage-related regulations
  • Secure interest rate lock-ins with investors and manage pipeline to protect the bank from interest rate risk
  • Ensure all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2-3 years of mortgage origination or banking experience
  • MS Office programs proficiency
  • NMLS license
