Housing Stability Specialist

Job Summary
The Housing Stability Specialist enables individuals and families to secure and maintain affordable housing within our community. This role involves providing essential services that support clients in achieving their housing goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Housing Stability Specialist, you will:
- Assist clients in locating suitable housing options in the community.
- Develop person-centered housing plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Connect clients with community resources to support their housing stability.
- Perform outreach to promote awareness of available housing options and services.
- Communicate regularly with clients and their support teams to discuss progress, challenges, and plans.
- Tour potential housing sites with clients to ensure they find the best fit.
- Help clients complete housing applications and provide assistance during the moving process.
- Follow up with clients after their move to ensure they are stable in their new home.
- Advocate on behalf of clients to prevent eviction and maintain their safety.
- Identify and address behaviors that may jeopardize continued housing.
- Provide transportation services as needed.
- Collaborate with public benefits, income opportunities, and landlord relationships to promote housing retention.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.

- The ability to pass a DHS background check.
