San Francisco, California, United States Recruiting from Scratch Full time

About Recruiting from Scratch

We're a talent firm that focuses on placing the best candidates for our clients. Our team is 100% remote and works with teams across North America, South America, and Europe to help them hire.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Product Designer to help craft the future of human-AI interactions. As a Product Designer, you will work on many compelling and diverse design challenges, such as how users can effectively teach AI about their workflows, how we integrate smoothly with customer's internal systems to get the tasks done, and how to smoothly hand off decisions to humans when we have low confidence in its execution. You will work closely with cross-functional partners throughout the entire product development process, from research and strategy to iteration, to launch, and continuous improvement. Venturing into this emerging industry, there's a lot that needs to be figured out. Therefore, you will drive design with sometimes indefinite starting points. This role will involve navigating ambiguity, diving deep, and balancing long-term strategic thinking with a bias for action to unblock urgent customer demand.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute directly to overall product strategy, design direction, and the future of how humans interact with our AI product offerings. Explore ambiguous and complex problem spaces, help unpack fundamental customer needs, and identify design opportunities. Define, craft, and iterate on design concepts, user flows, interaction patterns, and high-fidelity visuals, eventually delivering exceptional product experiences. Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and design to build and ship your design. Elevate our design team by contributing to our culture, refining design practices, raising the bar on design quality, instilling a drive for design excellence and innovation, and supporting each other's growth.

Requirements

We're looking for a seasoned designer who balances strategic thinking with hands-on craftsmanship. You should have an unwavering customer focus and be committed to crafting delightful experiences. You should demonstrate ability to dive deep into nebulous problem spaces, design elegant solutions to solve complex customer problems, and drive projects from concept to launch. You should have high standards for your craft and consistently deliver exceptional work. You should communicate with clarity and intentionality, using storytelling to effectively present your design and rationale to various stakeholders and bring the team along. You should be owners at heart, ready to take responsibility, unafraid to tread new paths, and eager to create the future. You should uphold the highest integrity, fostering trust and honesty. Minimum qualifications include 5+ years of industry experience crafting software product experiences, a proven track record of shipping designs that drive customer and business impact, excellent communication skills, experience with a broad range of design methodologies and tools, and a Bachelor's degree in HCI, Design, Architecture or related field, or comparable work experience. We work in a hybrid model, with three days a week in the office. During the day, we have core hours when everyone is expected to be available. Salary Range: $130,000-$190,000 base.
