Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Inspector II to join our team and independently inspect various standardized items or operations requiring a comprehensive knowledge of construction inspection methods, equipment, materials, and practices. The selected candidate will be responsible for obtaining information on schedules, work methods, and explaining requirements of plans and specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Interprets plans and specifications relating to construction problems of normal difficulty with established precedents.
  • Resolves differences between plans and specifications without involving questions of cost or engineering design.
  • Provides authorization for minor deviations in construction methods and practices without cost changes.
  • Reviews inspection reports for accuracy, completeness, and adequacy.
  • Maintains working knowledge of construction industry codes relevant to their area of expertise.
Requirements
  • An Associate degree in engineering technology or science plus two years' experience in a related construction field.
  • An Associate degree graduate must have at least one year of QA/QC experience and one year of construction experience.
  • A High school graduate or equivalent (GED) with four years of experience in a related construction field.
  • A High school graduate must have at least two years of QA/QC experience and two years of construction experience.
  • Ability to work outside and inside, with minimum travel and occasional overnight stays for offsite projects.
