Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Truck Painter to join our team at Morgan Truck Body. The successful candidate will be responsible for painting and preparing trucks to meet customer specifications with a high level of skill and quality.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position that requires the ability to work in a manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for painting all types of trucks, including full bodies, chassis and cabs, trailers, and tractors. Additionally, you will need to operate various paint tools, such as cup guns, pressure pots, plural systems, and airless sprayers.

Responsibilities

  • Paint all types of trucks to customer specifications
  • Operate various paint tools, including cup guns, pressure pots, plural systems, and airless sprayers
  • Read and interpret blueprints and work orders
  • Set up and perform preventative maintenance on tools and machines
  • Perform safety and quality checks

Requirements

  • Basic math, tape measurement, and computer skills
  • Basic experience with paint tools
  • Able to understand and comprehend measurement
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints for special applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in manufacturing
  • Previous experience working on truck bodies

Working Conditions

This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk or hear. The team member frequently is required to stand (sometimes for extended periods); walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 35 pounds. The team member may, at times, sit, bend, stoop, squat, reach overhead, or crawl (may be in confined spaces). The team member is expected to perform repetitive tasks using their hands, and have the ability to climb ladders and/or work in high places.

The estimated salary for this position is $21.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience, with a $4,000 sign-on bonus.
