Activities Coordinator

The Good Samaritan Society seeks a dedicated Activities Coordinator to join our team.
About the Role:
This is a part-time PRN position, working day shifts with varying hours. The salary range for this role is $14.50 - $22.50 per hour.
Responsibilities- Improve the quality of life for patients/residents by providing meaningful activities and interventions on an individual and group basis.
- Administer the monthly activity calendar and elicit patient/resident input into activity planning.
- Maintain activities well-organized and engaging, following state requirements for music, craft, and spiritual activities.
- Participate in activities tailored to patients/departments and residents, promoting optimal functioning while maintaining dignity and identity.
- Assist with simple nursing procedures, transporting patients/residents, and assist with Minimum Data Set's (MDS's)/EPIC's documentation.
- Demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and excellent communication skills.
- Show leadership abilities to develop and motivate others.
- A high school graduate or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience in social services or creative activities is beneficial.
- Familiarity with geriatrics and diverse resident demographics is desired.
- Possessing a current Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA) certification or currently enrolled in a healthcare-related program is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, depending on location.
- Maintaining department-specific competencies and certifications is essential.
- This role may classify as a Sanford Category I or II Driver, requiring a motor vehicle report and proof of a valid driver's license.
