Job Summary:

This position is part of the Facilities Management department at Intermountain Health, requiring completion of an electrical apprenticeship or training program, or licensure in the trade. Significant experience in a healthcare setting is necessary.

The successful candidate will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in the hospital, including lighting, power, and control systems. They will perform regular preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently. Additionally, they will troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems and make necessary repairs, ensuring all electrical work is performed in compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and standards.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions. They will also be able to read and understand mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and architectural drawings and plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and equipment in the hospital

• Performs regular preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses electrical problems and makes necessary repairs

• Ensures all electrical work is performed in compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and standards

Requirements:

• Experience as a licensed or master electrician

• Demonstrated abilities in the area applied for

• A valid driver license may be required for this position

Physical Requirements:

• Bending, lifting, stooping, crawling, laying, sitting, walking, climbing

• Use of hand and power tools, proper use of hearing and eye protection

• Exposure to extreme temperatures in nature, work in noisy or constricted spaces, exposure to odors and smells
