Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team in the San Fernando Valley area. As a Behavior Technician, you will work one-on-one with children with autism, teaching and nurturing behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a home-based setting.

You will follow treatment plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to help increase the child's communication, self-help, social, and play skills. You will also relay information on the child's progress to BCBAs and accurately record behavior analysis and progress in our data collection system.

Responsibilities
  • Teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a one-on-one setting with children with autism.
  • Follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs to help increase the child's communication, self-help, social, and play skills.
  • Relay information on the child's progress to BCBAs and accurately record behavior analysis and progress in our data collection system.
  • Work closely with BCBAs to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Provide support and guidance to families and caregivers.
Requirements
  • Consistent availability from Monday through Friday.
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • RBT/CBT certification preferred. Must obtain RBT/CBT certification within 60 days of employment.
  • Previous experience working with children with autism or other special needs is preferred.
  • Ability to frequently bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), squat, sit, stand, and/or run.
  • Previous training in First Aid Certified and CPR is preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to work with computers.
