About the Role

As a Packaging Technician at Reckitt, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our production lines. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with other team members to organize and lead all production activities, with a focus on maximizing throughput and continuously improving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Operate relevant packaging equipment and perform minor maintenance tasks as needed, with a focus on preventative rather than reactive maintenance.
  • Deliver KPIs that are measured across multiple shifts, including Overall Equipment Efficiency, Waste, Documentation Accuracy, Safety Observations, Near Misses, and other relevant metrics.
  • Work with the Production Planner to plan and resource changeover activities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ensure quality control through adherence to control plans and a proactive, preventative approach to Safety, Health, and the Environment.
  • Lead the line team in troubleshooting and autonomous maintenance activities, liaising with the maintenance team as needed.
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of shift quality and line performance data.

The Experience We're Looking For

We are seeking candidates with machine operation experience on high-speed packaging equipment in a food, chemical, or pharmaceutical environment. Specific awareness of quality/Good Manufacturing Practice and knowledge of a ISO manufacturing environment are also essential. Additionally, we require the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet targets and KPIs, and lift up to 50 lbs while standing for long periods of time. Strong communication skills for department collaboration are also necessary.
