Job Description:

The Pediatric Nursing Education Specialist will be responsible for assessing the learning needs of the PICU nursing team and implementing targeted educational programs. Key responsibilities include developing and evaluating orientation sessions, continuing education opportunities, and specialty fellowship programs for pediatric care. The successful candidate will also mentor staff to excel in their clinical practice, support certification efforts, and foster professional development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited School of Nursing (BSN required; MSN in Nursing Education or related field preferred)
  • A current D.C. RN license and certification as a Nurse Educator (or ability to obtain within one year)
  • Clinical experience and Clinical education experience (pediatric or critical care preferred)
  • Strong communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills, with expertise in designing and delivering educational programs
