Interventional Radiology Technologist Position

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at Howard University Hospital. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for operating advanced imaging equipment and applying ionizing radiation to patients in accordance with standard procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate imaging equipment and apply radiation to patients in accordance with standard procedures.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, utilizing image-guided surgical techniques and sterile protocols.
- Use proper radiation safety measures to conform to the ALARA principle.
- Review patient history and images with designated Interventional Radiologist to ensure appropriate procedure application.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited radiologic technologist program.
- Three years' experience as a Radiologic Technologist, including one year of recent experience in Interventional Radiology.
- ARRT certifications (e.g. CV, VI, CI) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
