Job Description: Correctional Psychologist - Evidenced Based Rehabilitation Specialist

This position involves evaluating detainees/inmates for mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. You will diagnose disorders, determine treatment courses, direct and coordinate mental health functions, supervise and train staff members, and perform administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate detainees/inmates for mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders, diagnosing disorders and determining treatment courses.
  • Provide psychotherapy counseling to treat illness or distress.
  • Instruct staff and officers in suicide identification and prevention techniques.
  • Perform crisis intervention techniques and provide in-service education for medical and correctional staff.
  • Maintain accurate records, document services provided, and complete required reports and analyses.
  • Consult with Physicians or Psychiatrists as needed for detainee/inmate healthcare needs.

Qualifications:

  • PhD or PsyD in Psychology from an accredited University.
  • Current license in Psychology in the state where the facility is located or licensure/certification in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Two years of correctional work experience preferred.

Compensation:**
$175,000.00 per year
