About the Role
This is a per diem, day shift position that requires a strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and positioning. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting patients with preparation and positioning for imaging procedures
- Performing CT scans and other diagnostic exams
- Applying technical judgment to obtain studies of acceptable diagnostic quality
- Providing patient education and instruction relevant to specific imaging procedures
- Operating radiographic imaging equipment, including injectors
- Preparing patients with aseptic solutions and sterile drapes
- Assisting with preparation of sterile surgical instruments and supplies needed for CT Biopsy examinations
- Minimizing radiation exposure to patients and staff through proper use of protective techniques
Qualifications and Skills
To be considered for this role, you must have a Graduate degree from an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved program in Radiologic Technology. A minimum of two years of progressive CT experience is preferred, although new graduates may be considered. You should possess excellent technical skills, knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and positioning, as well as current certification in CT and licensure in New York State.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $60-$60 hourly, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as retirement savings plans and paid time off. At Mount Sinai, we value diversity, equity, and inclusion and strive to create an environment where everyone feels welcome and supported.
