Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and responsible Bus Monitor to assist the school bus driver in maintaining discipline and ensuring the safety of students during transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist the bus driver in maintaining discipline and order on the bus
* Monitor and assist students while the bus is in operation
* Assist with student loading, unloading, and seating arrangements as required
* Maintain proper records and documentation
* Communicate effectively with classroom aides, teachers, principals, and parents
* Attend in-service meetings and training courses as assigned

Requirements:

* High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate
* Knowledge of safe practices concerning school bus transportation
* Basic record-keeping techniques
* Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
* Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
* Lift students according to established guidelines

Working Conditions:

* Work is performed while standing, sitting, and/or walking
* Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
* Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
* Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching
* Must be able to lift one-third of their body weight, not to exceed 50 pounds
