Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to support our healthcare team in providing high-quality patient care. As a key member of our medical office staff, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient experiences and ensuring seamless clinical operations.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering top-notch patient care. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and prepare them for physician examinations according to established protocols
  • Keep patient records up-to-date and accurate
  • Document medication dispensed and vaccine administration
  • Ensure exam rooms are properly stocked and prepared
  • Perform EKG and Spirometry as ordered by physicians
  • Report lab results to patients and follow up on physician instructions
  • Answer pharmacy requests for prescription refills
  • Maintain accurate inventory of medical supplies and report needs to Office Coordinator/Practice Manager
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have one of the following: completed a Medical Assistant program, certification/registration as an MA, or 5+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced medical environment
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions
