Overview

At Equinox, we empower our Personal Trainers to maximize their personal and client performance. As a Fitness Career Development Specialist, you will develop and refine your approach to programming, education, business, and financial planning under the guidance of two dedicated managers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Business Growth
    • Build and maintain an active client base through personalized marketing and sales strategies.
    • Manage and maintain an accurate schedule, inclusive of client appointments, meetings, and open availability within our internal scheduling systems.
    • Maintain knowledge of all club services, programs, and products to provide exceptional member experiences.
  • Client Service and Hospitality
    • Deliver high-quality fitness assessments, guided workouts, and other complimentary services that exceed member expectations.
    • Interact with members to enhance their workouts and overall club experience, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
    • Create and coach personalized programs for both in-person and virtual clients, driving long-term results and member satisfaction.
    • Maintain an organized and safe fitness floor during shifts and sessions, ensuring a secure environment for all members.
  • Professional Development
    • Pursue Continuing Education classes to elevate your knowledge and qualify for promotions, staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
    • Attend and participate in required one-on-one or team meetings with management, fostering open communication and collaboration.
Qualifications and Skills
  • A current Personal Training certification or willingness to obtain one through our certification reimbursement program.
  • Eligibility to begin a higher Tier & pay rate based on previous experience and education (Degree in the field).
  • A current CPR/AED certification.
  • Certification opportunities available for non-certified applicants.
  • Possess passion, ambition, drive, and knowledge regarding fitness, with a strong desire to excel in this role.
  • The ability to work in-person during weekdays/weekends, with flexibility to adapt to changing schedules as needed.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with members and colleagues.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Basic computer and technology skills, with proficiency in our internal systems and software.
  • An energetic, friendly, punctual, and respectful demeanor, with a commitment to providing exceptional service to our members.
Compensation and Benefits

$39.50-$70 per session; $16/hr (non-session work); additional incentive bonuses available for eligible trainers.
