Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Control Systems Specialist to join our team at Eastlake Search Consultants. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing control systems for various projects.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

About the Job

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Safety or a related field, or equivalent experience in an integration engineering environment. You will work collaboratively with sales, operations, purchasing, engineering, and production teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new control systems or modify existing ones
  • Work closely with clients, suppliers, contractors, and relevant authorities
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and industry-specific codes
  • Contribute to the improvement of departmental processes and procedures
  • Manage small to mid-size safety and automation projects from conception to start-up within cost and time constraints
  • Generate wiring diagrams and panel layouts using AutoCad Electric
  • Write computer software and perform PLC and HMI programming
  • Assist with installations, start-ups, troubleshooting, and problem-solving
  • Maintain project files on our network
  • Mentor and train other engineers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Safety, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong controls application experience utilizing PLCs, HMIs, and familiarity with machine guarding and electrical safety products
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as Tier IV, ATEX, ABS, MSA, CE, NFPA, OSHA, ASTM, etc.
  • Experience estimating and quoting engineered systems and strong project management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
