As a Biomedical Laboratory Officer in the United States Air Force, you will play a vital role in helping physicians accurately treat their patients. Your expertise in conducting tests and supplying answers will be crucial in determining the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

The services and integrity of your lab are essential to the success of our medical team. As a Biomedical Laboratory Officer, you will direct the operations of your lab, ensuring that all biological tests are conducted with the highest level of accuracy and precision. In addition to your scientific duties, you will also be responsible for instituting new methods, techniques, and procedures to help your lab more accurately pinpoint the cause and appropriate care for a wide range of diseases.

Requirements
  • You must have a degree in Medical Technology or an equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Certification as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) is required.
  • You must complete the Officer Training School course.
  • You must be between 18 and 42 years old.
