Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a skilled Critical Care Physician to join its esteemed team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, a Level 1 Trauma Center and recognized center of excellence in various medical fields. Our hospital serves nearly 213,000 outpatient visits, over 83,000 emergency room visits, and more than 13,000 inpatient admissions annually.

The Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine Division of NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem seeks an academically oriented and clinically adept physician to join its staff full-time. As a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, we offer a robust IM residency training program and serve as a significant clinical site.
Job OverviewThis position includes all aspects of pulmonary medicine, critical care, and out-patient pulmonary services. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including:
- An annual base salary of $239,670* (board eligible); $245,054* (board certified), based on a 40-hour workweek.
- Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $356,657** (board eligible) and $362,579** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors.
- Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
- Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
- 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings.
- Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
- Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
