Job Overview

Nexus Talent Connect is seeking a skilled Associate with experience in Medicaid regulatory and policy issues to join a prestigious firm.

As a Healthcare Regulatory Specialist, you will engage in projects that enhance access to affordable, high-quality healthcare services. Your expertise in Medicaid issues, such as coverage, reimbursement, managed care delivery systems, or demonstration projects under section 1115 of the Social Security Act, will be invaluable to our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic advice on regulatory and compliance issues
  • Assist with structuring and negotiating healthcare transactions
  • Implement various contractual arrangements
  • Counsel clients on the full range of legal issues affecting the healthcare industry
  • Engage in thorough legal research and analysis on Medicaid and other healthcare regulatory matters
  • Draft memoranda, pleadings, and other case documents with clarity and precision
  • Manage matters from commencement to final resolution, ensuring effective communication with clients and supervising attorneys

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree
  • 2-4 years of healthcare regulatory experience, including coverage and reimbursement
  • Preferred experience with Medicaid regulatory and policy issues and/or complex administrative law questions
  • Strong interest in issues involving Medicaid and expanding access to high-quality healthcare services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce regulatory analysis for a lawyer audience and high-level synthesis for a lay audience
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent legal research and analytical skills
  • Effective and efficient problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to work independently and proactively
  • Bar membership in good standing in the jurisdiction in which you plan to practice
