Job Summary:

The Carle Foundation Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team. As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, you will have the opportunity to work with a licensed clinical psychologist and gain hands-on experience in psychological assessment, psychotherapy delivery, and supervision. This is a temporary period of mentored or supervised training to acquire skills to be a full-fledged psychologist in Illinois. The postdoctoral supervision will consist of at least one hour per week of face-to-face supervision and will allow you to solidify core competencies in psychological assessment, psychotherapy delivery, professionalism, evidence-based practices, and supervision. You will also have the opportunity to be mentored in the culture of Carle Foundation Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a Doctorate in Psychology and be eligible for entrance into a Postdoctoral Program. Successful completion of a Psychology internship leading to a PhD or DPsych is also required. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing initial diagnostic evaluations on patients, developing treatment plans based on initial evaluations, performing therapeutic modalities to improve behavioral/emotional functioning, documenting evaluations and treatment sessions effectively, and referring as needed to appropriate providers based on the needs of the patient. Responsibilities:

Performs initial diagnostic evaluations on patients

Develops treatment plans based on initial evaluations

Performs therapeutic modalities to improve behavioral/emotional functioning

Documents evaluations and treatment sessions effectively

Refers as needed to appropriate providers based on the needs of the patient

Requirements:

Doctorate in Psychology

Eligible for entrance into a Postdoctoral Program

Successful completion of a Psychology internship leading to a PhD or DPsych
