Data Modeler Job Summary


A dedicated Data Modeler is required to support the USG big data program by extracting, transforming, and loading incoming datasets for downstream systems and analysts.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and maintain data models according to customer requirements.
  • Perform periodic assessments of authorized data models for potential adjustments.
  • Support ETL process execution on periodic and one-time data sets, including conditioning and output of modified data sets.
  • Analyze conditioned data sets to ensure compliance with current data models.

Requirements:



  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in data science, computer science, or related field, or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with big data technologies including Databricks, AWS EMR, Apache Spark, and Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) missions.
  • Ability to develop and maintain data models, map incoming data sets, and create database schemas.
  • Experience with SQL, including table creation, querying, joining, and data extraction.
  • Proficiency in Python, PySpark, Java, and Apache NiFi.
  • Ability to write data sets to AWS S3 storage and identify technical problems.
  • Experience with Agile tools JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, and GitHub.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
