Millwright Craftsman

We are seeking a skilled Millwright Craftsman to join our team at TIC - The Industrial Company. As a Millwright Craftsman, you will be responsible for planning, laying out, installing, and aligning equipment and machinery in accordance with all plans, specifications, tolerances, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and diagram millwright's work, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, assemble, and align machinery, and install all other items.
• Review and verify inventory of equipment/machine components, check accuracy of line and grade of existing foundation, and prepare foundation for grouting and/or machinery placement.
• Establish and use centerlines and bench marks, set and align machine components, mix and place all types of grout, and properly torque equipment and machinery.
• Dismantle machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools, move machinery and equipment using hoist, dollies, rollers, and trucks, and assemble and install equipment.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Millwright Craftsman II in a power plant/industrial setting is required.
• Must possess working knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions, and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Working Conditions:

• Constantly works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions.
• Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime, and holidays as required.
• May be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to access required equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet).

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
• Must be able to move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfaces.
• Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment.
