Job Opportunity: HVAC Systems Specialist

At Action Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our Energy Services team as an HVAC Systems Specialist. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the organization's mission of advancing economic equity and fostering a thriving community on Cape Ann and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate existing heating systems in residential buildings to identify conversions to air-source heat pump (ASHP) systems, including full and partial displacements of hydronic, air, and electric radiant systems.
  • Review scopes of work for fossil fuel hydronic and air systems for approval and installation.
  • Oversight of projects from initial evaluation through final quality control of system installations.
  • Perform virtual reviews/approvals of HVAC scope submissions from contracted vendors.
  • Conduct quality control inspections on completed HVAC installations across Massachusetts.
  • Statewide travel required for assessments and inspections of completed work.

Requirements:

  • Drivers' license required and reliable daily transportation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Second language desired.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is $55,000-$65,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, holidays, life insurance, AD&D, long-term disability, EAP, and a 403(b) plan with a generous match after the first year.
