Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and register patients in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Obtain or verify patient information, collect signatures, and ensure accuracy of necessary documentation.
  • Collect and log co-pays and fees.
  • Answer and transfer incoming phone calls.
  • Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments, and notify staff of changes when necessary.
  • Provide patients with orientation and safety protocols, and offer directions to facilities as needed.
  • Coordinate with back-office staff to ensure timely and effective patient care.
  • Demonstrate competency in safeguarding patient property and Patient Health Information.
  • Safeguard on-site medications in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Exhibit respect for company property, including cash and patient financial information.
  • Respond to the needs of others by maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
  • Interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
  • Strong multitasking and communication skills.
  • Experience providing exceptional customer service.
  • Medical terminology knowledge and recent medical/radiology office experience is preferred.
