About the Role

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join DispatchHealth Management as a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, correctional institutions, residential homes, and other patient locations.

 

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to designated locations to perform portable x-rays and EKG exams, following all company policies and protocols.
  • Collect and verify required order documentation and patient information prior to procedures.
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams.
  • Operate portable radiologic equipment at patient bedside or designated exam settings.
  • Determine exposure factors based on height, weight, body part, and degree of penetration required.
  • Ensure safe work practices, including radiation safety and ALARA principles, infection control, and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Process images, review them for diagnostic quality, and transmit them according to company protocols.
  • Complete forms, maintain records, visit logs, and reports of work performed.
  • Maintain equipment, assist with troubleshooting, and take care of company vehicles.
  • Perform training and orientation of other employees, as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, and clients, demonstrating a positive attitude and professionalism.

 

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual with experience in radiologic technology. The successful candidate will have:

  • A strong foundation in radiologic technology, preferably certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • State-specific licensure (if applicable) and valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds and navigate stairs easily while carrying equipment.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
