Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at Soar Autism Center in Littleton, Colorado.
About the JobThe successful candidate will work with children aged 2-6 years, providing naturalistic occupational therapy in a center-based setting, focusing on autism. The role involves crafting interventions tailored to improve gross motor, fine motor skills, feeding practices, and daily living activities for children with autism.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of early intervention and integrated care approaches, excellent teamwork and communication skills, and a passion for supporting the growth and development of children with autism.
Responsibilities:- Implement naturalistic occupational therapy for children aged 2-6 years in a center-based setting, with a focus on autism
- Craft interventions aimed at improving gross motor, fine motor skills, feeding practices, and daily living activities tailored to the needs of children with autism
- Perform multidisciplinary assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with other clinical areas (ABA, speech therapy, psychology), including co-treatments with speech therapists
- Mentor and guide a team of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to integrate OT goals into their therapy, enhancing their approach to autism care
- Monitor the progress of clients, update treatment plans and goals, and communicate necessary adjustments to team members and families
- Collaborate closely with families of children with autism, setting goals, building relationships, sharing progress, and providing coaching and support on their journey
- A degree in Occupational Therapy with a focus on pediatrics or a similar field
- Current licensure as a Occupational Therapist
- Experience in working with children with autism or related developmental disorders
- Strong understanding of and commitment to early intervention and integrated care approaches
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a passion for supporting the growth and development of children with autism
- $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience
