Area Operations Manager

Job Summary:
The Area Operations Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing daily operations and supervising Radiologic Technologists and/or Sonographers within an assigned region. This position ensures compliance with company policies, patient care standards, and state regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staffing and Scheduling: Plan and implement staffing and schedules within the designated region.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor performance and forecast service needs for personnel management, capital equipment, and departmental P&L management.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with state regulations and laws, including Radiation and Health Department rules.
- Staff Supervision: Provide direct supervision to all staff within the assigned region.
- Communication: Maintain communication between management and technologists to ensure quality study results.
- Employee Development: Conduct staff evaluations and provide recommendations for employee development.
- Equipment Management: Oversee image quality reviews and maintain inventory of equipment within the region.
- Training and Orientation: Orient new employees to company policies and procedures.
- Technical Support: Assist technologists with technical problems and address problem behaviors through coaching and counseling.
- Payroll Review: Review technologist payroll to ensure productivity and resource control.
- Service Levels: Perform X-rays/ultrasounds as needed to maintain service levels.
- Fleet Management: Manage fleet scheduling for vehicle/equipment maintenance to ensure reliability.
- Credentialing and Quality: Continuously monitor technologist credentialing, training, and quality of service.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety policies and report accidents or incidents immediately.

Physical Demands:
- Push/pull equipment weighing 50-100 lbs using vehicle ramps and pulleys.
- Pushing/pulling equipment in facilities or homes may increase the force to 50 lbs or more, occurring 16 to 24 times daily.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the mobile radiology field.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Valid State Radiologic Technologist/CRT and ARRT, ARDMS/CCI certifications.
- Valid drivers license.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within the service area.
Certification Requirements:
- ARRT
- State License (California)
- Limited license not accepted
COVID-19 Vaccination:
Vaccination is required. Alternatively, proper documentation supporting an exemption must be provided.
