Medical Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) to join our team at Sonic Healthcare. As a key member of our laboratory operations team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care through moderate and high complexity testing.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position working third shift, with a Monday - Thursday/Tuesday - Friday rotation. You will be responsible for performing a vital part of the patient care process, analyzing and reviewing testing results, and implementing effective solutions when corrective action is needed. You will also work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards, championing safety, compliance, and quality control.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of an AMA-approved Medical Laboratory training program to qualify as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT). Alternatively, a Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent preferred and completion of an AMA-approved program of Medical Technology to qualify as a Medical Technologist (MT). You will also need current TN licensure as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT), certification or eligibility by ASCP or equivalent, and 6 months of laboratory training or experience. Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills are also essential, as well as the ability to operate general laboratory equipment.
